“In the process of relocating to London in 1998, my understanding of community, family and home shifted from permanent to transient. In my art practise I am interested by the impact of the journey between destinations. For me the bird in flight evokes the psychological desire to find land and community. I am interested in the issues raised by the pursuit of commonality as an artist, a dual citizen and ex-patriot."
